STEP ONE: Create a list of the goals and dreams you’d love to achieve within the next year.
In order to stay in alignment with your goals and move closer to them, you need to know what they are first. Spend some time getting clear on exactly what you want your ideal life to look like. Use the "feel method." If you were living your dream life, how would it feel? Let those feelings guide you when choosing your goals and dreams.
STEP TWO: This is where things get really fun! It's time to find images and words that represent that dream life/goal life of yours. You can use old magazines, new magazines, online pictures, pre-made kits, whatever! Each image that you pick should invoke the feeling of your dream achieved. If I want to become a CEO and it would feel amazing, freeing and exciting to be CEO, then all the images and texts I choose must invoke that feeling. The feeling is what accelerates the manifestation process. It helps us stay, again, in alignment with our dreams. If the feeling of being CEO is exciting, then why would we make a choice that has us feeling like crap? That is not alignment.
STEP THREE: Once you have collected enough images and texts, it’s time to make your vision board! Go to whatever local store is near you and get the most beautiful poster size piece of paper you can find. I prefer to use an aesthetically pleasing cork board. You want your vision board to be a work of art. Also, make sure to collect additional supplies such as ribbon, felt, glitter, stickers, the works! I want you to look at your vision board and feel INSPIRED. The scrapbooking section of many stores is good for this. Once you have your chosen board, it's time to channel your inner Martha Stewart and glue, tack, or tape your images and texts to the paper or cork board in an arrangement that is visually exciting and pleasing to you.
STEP FOUR: Once you're done creating your vision board, USE IT! To get the full benefit from it, you want to place it somewhere you will see it every day. Start your mornings with a visualization meditation. This is where you take a few minutes to look over your vision board and you do a guided visualization, where you see yourself LIVING the contents of your vision board. You only need 5 minutes a day for this! This visualization is powerful because again, it helps you to align with the path towards achieving your goals. Plus, by doing this visualization, you open yourself up to receive guidance from the Universe on how to accomplish those goals. That is what we call inspired action. You start to take action that is inspired that gets you closer and closer to living the dream life you so badly want. This daily, 5-minute visualization meditation will have you bursting with motivation to succeed! Do this in the morning so your mindset will start off being wired for success for the whole day, and you will be far more likely to notice and act on opportunities that will bring you closer to your goals.
One final piece of inspiration if you're still on the fence on creating a vision board...
Michelle Goldblum, founder of the highly popular and transformative, Soul Camp, used her very own vision board to create Soul Camp. "Back in 2014 when we were first dreaming up Soul Camp, we wrote out a list of all of the instructors we would love to have teaching and speaking. We wrote out a list of all of our favorite healthy snacks. And we wrote out a list of companies that used the word SOUL in their name that we would love to have sponsor us. Every single instructor on that list was a part of Soul Camp 2014. Our canteen was overflowing with kale chips and almond butter, and Huffington Post GPS for the Soul and Soul Pancake sponsored us."
Now it's your turn to dream.
