Essentials for AT-HOME GAME NIGHT

By MoodMe
Over the past year, we’ve all spent a lot more time indoors than we would prefer. The COVID-19 pandemic truly shocked the world and changed our routines completely. Let's be honest here, being stuck at home with our family all day hasn't always been easy, let alone fun. But, we don't know what the future holds, so let's make the best of our time together. Enter >>> game night!

1.) The Games

Well, duh! This might sound obvious but most people don't take their time researching good games. Read reviews, and take your time and make sure you pick games that everyone will find fun. Take into consideration everyone's age and skills and again...research.

2.) The Snacks

Admit it: we like game night because of the snacks. Snacks are tasty. Snacks are awesome. Snacks make life better. The most fun part of game night is the snacks, so have fun doing this! Chips, crackers, nuts (watch out if anyone in your party has allergies!), celery, carrot sticks, hummus dip...yum! The possibilities are endless! It's all down to what you and your friends (or family members) love to munch on as you all get in the game.

3.) A Game Night Playlist

Music makes the mood. Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, there are tons of options for streaming music. You can make a dedicated game night playlist to keep the fun going and have the perfect soundtrack for it in the background! Better yet, platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music can actually allow you to start a collaborative playlist, so everyone involved in game night can contribute to it. This is a win-win because it means that you won’t be stuck with having to do all the work to make the playlist, and nobody is going to get upset if their songs are not featured!

4. Last But Not Least: Your People

You can’t have a great game night without your people. Right now, in these socially distancing days, your tribe is limited to the people under your roof. But one day? One day you can call your tribe, and use game night as an opportunity to have a lot of fun with the people in your life.
