Life hacks. We all have them. Whether they’re ones we acquired from friends or family, hidden gems found on social media, or even our own little discoveries, these dandy little tricks can definitely come in handy during our day-to-day lives! 

To keep your dresser drawers and clothes smelling extra fresh, try placing your favorite scented dryer sheets inside. Bonus hack, did you know dryer sheets help tame staticky hair? Apply an unused dryer sheet to your favorite hairbrush and watch those pesky fly-aways lay down flat!

Can’t get that almond butter jar open? Don’t stress out with all that unnecessary twisting and turning! Instead, carefully run it under some hot water for a few moments before gently tapping that pesky lid on the counter. 

For leftover sandwiches, the best way to avoid next-day soggy bread is to wrap your sandwich in a sheet of paper towel followed by some plastic wrap. The bread will be just as fresh the next day when you go in for a snack. 

While vacuuming can be a very aesthetically pleasing chore for some, moving a piece of furniture around only to see indents left behind on your carpet is not. Apply some ice to the spot, and watch them disappear! Ice cubes are also a GREAT way to remove spilled wax from furniture without ruining the fabric or finish. Simply fill a plastic bag with some ice cubes, and place it over the wax. Let it sit for a few minutes, and once the wax has sufficiently cooled and hardened, you can pick it up with ease! 

Placing your unripe avocados in a drawer or even a brown paper bag will help speed up the process and make them ready to eat even sooner! Once the stem on top pops off with ease and you see green, it’s time to eat! 

There is nothing more annoying than sticker residue left behind after removing the tag off a newly purchased item. Use a wet, warm rag with a little olive oil and apply to the sticky mess. Gently rub to remove the adhesive, and voila! 

When it comes to microwaves, some odors (like burnt popcorn) seem to linger forever. When you notice your appliance starting to smell a little less than fresh, place a bowl of vinegar inside and run it for arbout five minutes. When done, wipe the inside down and enjoy a clean, odor-free experience during your next use.

Speaking of vinegar, did you know you can use this to make your old pots and pans look almost as good as new? Fill your sink with your pans, add some hot water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1/4 cup of white vinegar to the mix. Allow your pots and pans to sit in this mixture for 20-30 minutes, and then watch as the grime washes away with ease! No excessive scrubbing here!
