4 Tips For Feeling Happier Every Day, Straight From A Celebrity Happiness Coach

Enjoy yourself more!

No matter what you’re going through right now, enjoying yourself more is always a great idea!

Here’s WHY:

1. It feels good!
2. It makes time fly by.
3. It boosts your immune system.
4. It makes you easier to get along with.
5. It makes others easier to get along with (for you).
6. It increases your creativity & productivity.

No matter what you’re doing - or have to do - you can always enjoy yourself more while doing it!

Always.

Here's how...

1. Enjoy everything for its own sake.

Practice turning activities, activities that are usually only a means to some other end, into ends themselves.

This includes cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, working, working out, showering, whatever!

Wash the dishes to enjoy washing the dishes, not just to get them done. Then, you’ll clean them better and finish them faster, too!

Run to to enjoy the run, not just to get in great shape. Then, you’ll find that runner’s high more easily and get fit more quickly, too!

Shower to enjoy the shower, not just to get clean. Then, you’ll get cleaner and smell better, too! 

2. Think less, feel more!

Think less while doing everything.

Put less of your focus and attention on what you’re thinking in your mind... and more of your focus and attention on what you’re feeling in your body.

Remember, “It’s only painful to do the dishes when you’re not doing the dishes.” It’s only painful to do anything when you’re not present with what you’re doing, when you’re distracted, when you’re lost in thought!

3. Find flow activities!

Find an activity, any activity that you love, that is all-consuming and all-absorbing.

Find one or several that allow you to lose a sense of self-consciousness and time-consciousness.

Then, throw yourself into them!

For me, it’s reading, writing, and working out. What’s yours?

4. Avoid happiness valleys/vampires.

Stay away from people, places, and spaces that make it difficult or impossible to enjoy yourself, to find happiness.

There are at least 5 places where happiness doesn't live, including:

4a. The past.

4b. The future.

4c. The news.

4d. Social media.

4e. Your head.
